Alert!!! Why you Must avoid putting your mobile number on Facebook profile

Facebook may be the only point of contact in times of difficulty; many people add their mobile numbers to their profiles to get contacted, but it’s a bit risky. A software engineer named Reza Moaiandin detected a data security loophole in Facebook that can be exploited by hackers and the personal information can be leaked. The important information about users such as their names, addresses, and phone numbers can then be used by the hackers.

Mr. Reza also explained that with this loophole, hackers may directly enter into an ID by communicating the GraphQL, which is a query language that was created in 2012 to authenticate users. Hackers can get access to all the number combinations in a country and may also get information about users if they have their numbers updated on their Facebook accounts.
The issue was initially detected back in April and Reza immediately contacted the social media giant to inform them about the issue. Surprisingly, even Facebook’s engineer told him that he was unable to know the technical details of the issue and was unable to solve it. The issue was recently raised again last month when Reza again contacted the social network, the flaw was deemed to be a major security concern for the company.
