This is an amazing news for hard core gamers in Nigeria as Paris-based Gameloft an international publisher and developer of digitally-distributed video games has opened an office in Nigeria, according to a report from Game Industry.

The launch of the office will allow Gameloft take advantage of the considerable potential of Africa – revenues has increased to about 536 per cent over the last four years – which already includes more than 367 million users, the report stated. Gameloft already works with a number of African mobile operators, such as MTN, Orange, Vodafone, Safaricom, Ooredoo, and Etisalat, which allows the company to currently enjoy a presence in most countries in Africa (South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt,Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Morocco, Algeria, etc.). New key distribution partnerships will follow shortly, which will extend Gameloft’s reach to other African countries such as Ethiopia and Tanzania.
Gameloft has had a presence in Johannesburg since 2012.
Some popular games in Gameloft’s stable includes Dungeon Hunter 5, Asphalt 8: Airborne, Dragon Mania Legends, March of Empires, Modern Combat 5: Blackout, and World at Arms.
As of July 2015, Gameloft has released 69 games for Apple devices.
